Born out of the critical need to renovate, repair and build new, the CPS Capital Improvement Program's (CIP began with the assessment of all Chicago schools (over 640), interior and exterior. By evaluating schools, their facilities and growing neighborhoods, appropriate measures were taken in an effort to turn them into acceptable academic environments.
