This Chicago Public School building is 105,000 SF, distributed on three levels with an off-site parking lot for 20 cars. The project also includes science, art, music and computer laboratories, along with a gymnasium, a full service kitchen and a play area.

As the Owner's Representative for the PBC, Vistara was involved in this project from the Design Phase, continuing through building construction and occupancy. During the Design Phase, Vistara conducted weekly progress meetings to review and discuss outstanding issues, proposed changes and value engineering options, further we provided cost estimates at various stages of the construction documents. The project budget has been reduced by $300,000 through value engineering.

Construction Phase: As the on-site construction manager, our duties included providing weekly and monthly reports reflecting project progress; conduct weekly progress meetings; co-ordinate, review and recommend processing of various project documents. Vistara assisted the client in monitoring and controlling the project budget & schedule through reviews and negotiation of pay requests, project schedules and change orders. |
